day eight and nine

Hey yo. Sorry that there was no update for the 19th, but we were out of town for my cousin's wedding and we were staying in a cabin/zoo so there was no internet offered. I did take pictures though.

So, here's Pic 8 - May 19th, 2007 (posted a day late).

We had to go to Summersville, WV for a wedding and my uncle and aunt rented a cabin for us at "Good Evening Ranch". It's actually a really nice place. We had the largest cabin there for 18+ people; I think there was a total of 9 bedrooms and each bedroom had their own bathroom, A/C, and balcony. This surprised me because it wasn't a LARGE cabin.

The ranch was definitely neat though because it was an exotic zoo. You could walk through the grounds and see a lot of different animals. Anyway, when we got to our cabin we were in a rush so we walked through to see the animals, but I forgot my camera. Eventually we had to go back and get ready for the rehearsal dinner. We had to drive like 20 minutes out a freaking country road to get to some restaurant that was equal to or worse than Choo Choo's (which is like a Denny's). It annoyed me because the food wasn't even that great. Anyway, that was done with and we came back to the room to hang out and I called my Seany. It was crazy cause while I was calling/talking to him I was out on our balcony and it looks toward where the animals are caged and there were sheep and billy goats just walking around in our yard. It was cute.

I had to sleep on an air mattress which is fine by me, minus the fact that the ENTIRE thing deflated through out the night. Plus, someone kept running up and down the balcony, so I just got up and got ready. Then everyone decided to go look at the animals again. And the day before I had a terrible encounter with the Ostrich. Everyone walked back to the cabin to get ready and I went to see if my dad was ok by the monkey's and when I went to walk away I heard some strange noise that sounded like a low horn and I turned around and it was that Ostrich and it was coming toward me (it was in a gate, but it was walking my way) and it's neck was convulsing and it was swinging it around. It was insane.

Anyway, we walked through and we went and looked at the Kangaroos, which were soooo cute. One was a daddy named Jack and one was the mommy and she had a little joey in her pouch. We never got to see it though. Then we walked over to the monkeys and there was one monkey named "Crazy" and it literally was crazy. It was kind of a perverted monkey too. It started to hump some can in it's cage and then it started playing with it's self. Haha. It was funny. And this place had Camels and Serval Cats, and Tigers and Lions and Zebras, and Llamas, and a lot more! It was really great.

We met the owner of the zoo and he let us watch him feed the Lions and the Tigers. It was really neat. The Lions' names were Leo and Cleo and the tigers' names were Tigger and Tony. Of course, I loved me my Tigger!!!

Eventually we had to make our way back to the cabin to get ready for the wedding (even though I would have preferred to stay and look at the animals). On our walk back the owner came and talked to us about the Kangaroos, Camels, and the Ostrich. He started playing with the kangaroos and the male one stood up and he was taller than the fence and he started boxing with him! It was cute.

Then he went over to the camels and the female camel kissed him. Eventually he started talking about the evil Ostrich. He said that the ostrich hates him but is fine with everyone else. He walked toward where the ostrich was and that thing went crazy. It lifted it's wings in the air and started toward the guy and then it started doing some crazy thing where it's head went crazy. I can't even explain it.

Then we went to go to the wedding...

Um, the wedding. My future career being wedding planning, that wedding was not planned at ALL and if it was planned then it wasn't organized right. My side of the family (groom side) knew nothing. We didn't know any times, and directions, ANYTHING. Plus, the wedding site was terrible. About 100 people had to stand and watch while they got married on a porch. I mean, I'm proud of my cousin, Josh, but the wedding wasn't what I expected. And the reception site was nice but it was over crowded, you couldn't get through the room! The food was ok, but nothing great. The best thing was my cousin's groom cake which was an Oreo. It was really good.

Then we went back to the cabin to start packing because some of us came back tonight. Before we left though we walked around the grounds again and looked at the animals some more. It was a really nice place and I enjoyed my time there. I would definitely go back there! Well, enjoy the pictures!
