Church Painting

Last Friday and Saturday, Sean had volunteers from his family, his troop, and friends come out and help him with his Eagle Scout Project. We all pitched in by cleaning and preparing his community church where his dad lives. We used brooms to get the paint chips off the wooden parts, and a power washer to get dirt off of the cement blocks. Basically we were easily covered in paint chips. As you can tell:

Then some more volunteers came out Saturday morning and helped re-paint the very white church. The church really needed a fresh coat. It definitely looks a lot better. It was scary though because people just kept going through paint and needing more. Sean and I got a little worried that we would need more paint, but in the end we had plenty paint left over.

All in all, the church looks AMAZING! So much better. There was mildew and mold on the sides near the ground and you can't even tell where the dirt was. It looks brand new! Sean made a really good choice, and he's really happy that his project is over with!
