the hatfields and the mccoys
Look, I totally feel like my family is like the Hatfield / McCoy battle. Except it's totally within family, it's not two different families. It is absolutely worse than what I thought it was. You know, if your father died wouldn't you think that you'd need to care for your mother who would be grieving? So I ask you this, if your father died would you leave the day right after his funeral and go to Florida for two weeks? And how many of you find this absolutely ridiculous that you wouldn't even have thought to leave in a million years? Well, that's what my uncle did. He left right after the funeral, leaving behind a grieving family. Oh, and it's not like this was his only chance to go on vacation because he went back to Florida a month later for another week. And I had to come back after being at Disney World for two days.
We went to eat with my grandmother today and we talked about my uncle and aunt. They're terrible and I'm glad she knows it but I think it hurts her. The one thing that her and my grandfather did all the time was eat out and travel. Well, she can't really travel by herself and we really wouldn't want her to, so we ALWAYS go out to eat with her! ALWAYS, and I love it! I mean, I get to see her and I think she really appreciates it. She told us today that she would call my uncle to see if he wanted to go out to eat and he'd just be like, "no, I'm not hungry". I can understand that once, but he's done it EVERYTIME since my grandfather passed. And that will be a year on June 13th, 2005. And my cousin who used to smoke cigarettes like crazy just had a baby, but she had quit smoking when she found out she was pregnant, but she REFUSES to take it to my grandmother's to visit because my grandmother smokes. If you ask me, that baby doesn't deserve the name Laco.
Anyway, sorry for rambling about this again. I just really worry about my grandmother.
Ah, well. I'm going to bed and I'm going to listen to my Harry Potter Podcast.
Night all.
